Ballroom Dancing Pros to Hold Lessons in Harrisburg

Top professionals in ballroom dancing will be offering lessons to the general public, April 26 and 27, at the Harrisburg Area Community College in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Penn State event will be held on the campus's Wildwood Conference Center, a facility offering three wooden dance floors and ample space for dancers to meet and share their experiences.

Dancers at all skill levels, from beginner to intermediate and advanced, will be welcome. Up to nine dances will be taught, including the waltz, tango, rumba, swing, hustle and mambo. In addition to lessons, a night of dinner and dancing will be held to allow participants to show off their skills.

Directors of the event will be Frederic Shipley and Deborah Davis, owners and directors of the Ballroom Break dance studio in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania. Shipley and Davis have more than forty-five years experience in teaching ballroom dancing. Guest instructors will be Roberto Pagan and Lorian Greenhouse, former world hustle and salsa champions, and Beverly Donahue, former U.S. Latin champion.
